During my career, I have worked in some capacity in the financial work realm. I started with Accounts receivable, calling on past due invoices, then moved into Purchasing, where I was able to utilize my skills to bring savings on $400k per year in cost savings to the company I worked for. Then moving into the construction world where I was the office manager for Central Florida. This meant wearing many hats from investigating overages of construction projects, to processing timesheets. Everything it takes to run an office. Finally, I landed with a state agency, where I have been for a long time. Starting in contract negotiations, wage rate negotiations, and finally executing the contract and providing Notice to Proceed documentation. From, there I moved into Project Management, where I was able to hone my skills with negotiations on individual projects. I managed thirty Continuing Services Contracts with multiple Task Work Orders (smaller projects) and all the financial responsibilities that came along with this position. I oversaw all State funds, and the moving of funds as needed for upcoming projects. Reporting the funds to management was/is critical. I was tasked with keeping track of all movement of funds throughout the fiscal year and closing out any unresolved movements of funds. Then, I was offered the position of Grant Manager, and I gladly accepted. What a great move for me. Here I have learned what it takes to be awarded a grant and what the state and federal government is looking for to award a grant. I understand the Grants what, if any, state or local matches mean, and how to find those matches. I know how to read and understand the Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) and what federal qualification the project must adhere to. I have a proven track record of being awarded a grant for $160 mil, and what it took to be awarded that grant. I am currently working on many other grants as well. I would love to be allowed to help you, and your firm apply and hopefully be awarded a grant. There are many, many grant opportunities out there that most people are not aware of, and I can help you find the one that is perfect for you. I also know the contract agreement requirements after you are awarded a grant and the Federal guidelines that must be followed to receive the funds. I can help with the administration of your grant to make sure you adhere to the Federal guidelines that must be followed during the life of the grant. I understand those guidelines and can help you stay on track with the timeframes of each step and keep your project moving. Please contact me for more information and let me assist you in attaining the grant to help you with all the Federal requirements needed.
